The Richmonde Hotel Treats the Residents of Jesus Loves the Little Children Foundation, Inc.
For the past three years, The Richmonde Hotel has been actively supporting Pasig City's Jesus Loves the Little Children Foundation, Inc. (JLLCFI) because of its commitment to uplifting the lives of the street children in the city by providing them with shelter, education, spiritual guidance, love and care. All year-round, the Richmonde has maintained a donation box at its lobby specifically for hotel guests wishing to help with the finances of the organization so it may better achieve its goals. Last December, to generate more funds for the basic health and educational needs of the children from JLLCFI, the hotel re-launched its "Chocolates for Charity" program during the holiday season wherein proceeds from the Christmas chocolate lollipops sold at the Lobby Cafe were donated to the foundation. Likewise, every year-end as a culminating activity, Richmonde treats the children under the care of JLLCFI to a party filled with fun games, gifts and a hearty lunch. In 2006, the children spent the day at Pasig City's Rain Forest Park with some of the hotel's officers and staff while enjoying the sights of the leisure park. Photo shows the jolly children of JLLCFI and some of Richmonde Hotel's employees, including the Managing Director Carmen Fernando and Director of Human Resources Blessie Tolentino. For inquiries regarding JLLCFI, you may call the Richmonde Hotel at 638-7777 or contact the foundation directly at 640-3405, 641-9666 & 643-5166 or log on to www.jllcf.com.

The Richmonde Hotel Receives the Don Emilio Abello Energy Efficiency Award for the 5th Consecutive Year
The Department of Energy (DOE) pays tribute to the exceptional contributions of business establishments in energy conservation with its Don Emilio Abello Energy Efficiency Awards (DEAEEA). And for the 5th consecutive year, The Richmonde Hotel, already a Hall of Fame awardee in 2004, has been granted yet again the Outstanding Award for achieving 8.6% energy savings or 129,997 liters of oil equivalent (LOE) last year. Spearheaded by Richmonde Hotel's Chief Engineer Rogelio D. Lampa, the successful implementation of various innovative energy efficiency and conservation measures last year resulted in the significant reduction of the hotel's total electrical consumption and operational expenses. The DEAEEA likewise commended the hotel's cost-saving programs for being beneficial not only to the company, but also to the country's efforts for attaining sustainable development. Furthermore, in recognition of Engr. Lampa's continuing initiatives, the Technical Evaluation Committee of the DEAEEA duly honored him with an Outstanding Energy Manager Award. Shown in photo during the awarding ceremony are, from left: DOE Energy Utilization Management Bureau Director Mario Marasigan, DOE Secretary Raphael P.M. Richmonde Hotel's Chief Engineer Honored With Outstanding Energy Manager Award
During the recent awarding of the 2006 Don Emilio Abello Energy Efficiency Awards (DEAEEA) by the Department of Energy (DOE), The Richmonde Hotel's very own Chief Engineer Rogelio D. Lampa was cited as Outstanding Energy Manager of the Year for his continuing initiatives on energy conservation for the hotel. Through his consistent implementation of various energy efficiency programs, Richmonde Hotel was honored with the Outstanding Award by the Technical Evaluation Committee of the DEAEEA for five consecutive years, since 2002. The efforts of Engr. Lampa to promote energy efficiency in the hotel resulted in significant monetary savings for the company, more energy-conscious employees, and most importantly, contributed to the nation's goal of sustainable development. Because of Engr. Lampa's dedication to the cause of energy efficiency, he was hand-picked by the DOE to attend the Pilot Training Course for ASEAN Energy Managers' Training Curriculum held recently in Bangkok, Thailand. After completing this course, conducted by the European Commission and ASEAN Energy Facility (EAEF) for the establishment of the ASEAN Energy Manager Accreditation Scheme, and passing the given theoretical and simulation tests, Engr. Lampa became an ASEAN Certified Energy Manager.
