Talented is one word to describe the Korean sensation famously known as Jay Park. This Korean-American singer, rapper, dancer first came on the spotlight when he was part of the reality show entitled “Hot-blooded Men” which was a contest wherein 13 men competed to become part of the music group 2PM. Despite being faced with controversy after being a member of the said group, he was greeted with a warm welcome by his Filipino fans. The extraordinary performer admits that going solo has proven to be a difficult journey although he believes that he is given more artistic freedom to hone his craft.

THE CRANBERRIES LINGER IN EASTWOOD RICHMONDE HOTEL
The Cranberries, the most-loved Irish alternative-rock band that sold more than 30 million records with numerous Top 20 billboard hits singles including "Zombie" and "Linger" were finally back in Manila after 16 long years. Out on their World Tour to promote their sixth studio album “Roses”, The Cranberries gave Manila a spectacular one-night concert last April 10, 2012 at the Smart-Araneta coliseum. Performing their greatest hit songs and some selections on their newly launched album, it was indeed a nostalgic trip to the 90s for every fan present.
During their lingering stop in Manila, The Cranberries made Eastwood Richmonde Hotel their home.
A CHANCE MEETING GREYSON AT EASTWOOD RICHMONDE HOTEL
Young but exuding clear potential is what people see when the boy named Greyson Chance appears on their TV screens. Equipped with the talent and grace on the piano and with a soothing voice to match, this 14 year-old lad sure knows how to make his way to the music world. His cover of Lady Gaga’s song “Paparazzi” was all it took to skyrocket him into fame and with a blockbuster album, he instantly turned an internationally acclaimed artist of his generation.
Greyson Chance’s press conference and meet & greet session with his fans last November 19, 20122 was held at Eastwood Richmonde Hotel which also served as his official residence during his stay in Manila.
XSIMPLE MINDS AND CHINA CRISIS AT EASTWOOD RICHMONDE HOTEL
“Don’t You Forget About Me” is a song too familiar to kids in the 1980’s, made famous in the movie “Breakfast Club” by John Hughes, which was performed by the Simple Minds. The Ex Simple Minds also known as XSM are composed of the members from the band Simple Minds which features brothers Brian McGee and Owen Paul McGee on drums and vocals respectively and Derek Forbes on bass player. These Scottish natives are known for their unparalleled talent and heart-hitting lyrics, today XSM continues to perform the memorable songs from the Simple Minds era.
While the post-punk era is synonymous with the name China Crisis, they were the band that gave a fresh sound to the words new wave. China Crisis is pop rock band that intertwined their songs with occasional political commentary and bluesy, reggae rhythms. The English duo composed of vocalist/keyboard player Gary Daly and guitarist Eddie Lundon had seen success in the UK with their hit singles like “Working with Fire and Steel”, “African and White” and “Christian”.

GO WEST WISHFULLY THINKING AT EASTWOOD RICHMONDE HOTEL
From their native country jolly old England, Go West is the band behind the hits “King of Wishful Thinking” and “Faithful”. This English duo composed of Peter Cox on vocals and Richard Drummie on rhythm guitars and backup vocals, were formed in the year 1982 and made their debut with the single “We Close Our Eyes” which reached number five on the UK Singles Chart.
Now after 13 years, the pop duo made a comeback with their album entitled “3D” which is a three-part album of extended plays. Although already in their 50’s, Go West still had the intensity and dedication to perform for their Filipino fans and during their short stay in Manila last November 9-13, 2011, they had chosen to stay at Eastwood Richmonde Hotel
AMERICAN IDOL WINNER FINDS HOME AT EASTWOOD RICHMONDE HOTEL
American Idol finds artists that amaze not only those in America but the whole world as well, and Lee Dewyze is one of them. This former paint salesman was practically a mini celebrity in his home town of Mount Prospect in Illinois when he decided to try to make his dream of being a renowned singer into reality. The 2009 American Idol winner was not really been thought of as a front-runner in the competition but he captivated his audience with his artistic covers of “Hallelujah” and “Beautiful Day”, which scored him millions of votes to bad the title.
Now being a world celebrity, Lee Dewyze decided to pay his Filipino fans a visit last May 2011 when he made Eastwood Richmonde Hotel his second home and official venue for his press conference.
QUEST CREW KICKING BACK AT THE EASTWOOD RICHMONDE HOTEL
After being heralded as winners of the third season of “America’s Best Dance Crew”, you can be certain that the Quest Crew is nothing short of amazing when they start to perform on stage. This American hip-hop dance crew from Los Angeles found success individually prior to winning on ABDC, which meant that bringing these different group of characters, composed of 10 members, would prove to produce a phenomenal dance crew. This all-boy group knew very well how to captivate the audience with their smooth moves and unparalleled choreography.
With a large fan base in the Philippines, visiting the country was sure to be in their itinerary. They gave their Filipino fans a chance to catch them live as they held a press conference at the Eastwood Mall Atrium last December 1, 2010. Quest Crew made Eastwood Richmonde Hotel their official residence during their visit.
